The vineyard of Château des Bachelards was created by the monks of Cluny around 1100 in the foothills of the Massif Central. Alexandra Vazeilles graduate of viticulture and oenology, is leading the field in recent years, and leads in organic and biodynamic. The vineyard is planted in high density and has a vast majority of very old vines of Gamay, Viognier and Syrah. The wines of Château des Bachelards are characterized by the combination of the elegance of Burgundy and the greed of the Rhone Valley. The field has entered the Green Guide of the Best Wines of France for the RVF 2017 upon the first vintage, which is very rare for a new domain. Since then, the wines of Château des Bachelards / Countess Vazeilles are regularly praised by international critics.  "Develop a good wine is easy, develop a great wine is an attention of every moment in the vineyard," says Alexandra Vazeilles.
